The tieback machine was removed from the Saint construction site today, March 24.
- The tieback machine that has been in use over the past several weeks, was removed from the site today. In order to lift it out of the excavated site, a mobile crane was required. However, Minto Communities construction managers were not expecting the arrival of such a large mobile crane today nor the size of the flatbed trailer required to move it. Unfortunately, this mobile crane was the only one available to come to the site and remove the tieback machine. Given the size of the flatbed trailer, maneuvering it was a challenge. A lamp post was unfortunately damaged during the process. Toronto Hydro has disconnected the lamp post from the power supply. It is our understanding that the lamp post will be repaired beginning tomorrow. Minto Communities apologizes for any disruption or inconvenience this inadvertent accident may have caused.
