Excavation has reached the P4 level at the Saint.
Work on the site this week will once again focus on the two key elements of the excavation process: digging out soil and then hauling away that excavated soil. The long-reach excavator, seen in the photo above, will be in use daily.
The site is now down to Parking Level 4, with two more levels to go until the excavation work is substantially completed. As the site is dug out workers continue to add lagging: the wooden panels that run between the steel shoring piles, and ensure the stability of the edges of the site.
Work will continue to start at 7 am during on weekdays. If there is work planned for Saturday, April 17, we will provide an update later this week.
The time work ends each day may vary but will remain within the standard City of Toronto construction hours.
