New crane arriving on site as excavation work continues.
Today, Monday, May 10th, 2020, the small mobile crane that has been in use on site will be driven off. This should be a quick process causing minimal inconvenience.
Tomorrow, Tuesday, May 12th, a large mobile crane will be arriving on the site. It will be used to remove the excavator on site.
Prior to its arrival, the construction crew will have to remove 4 to 5 concrete jersey barriers at end of day today. The crew will add traffic barrels in their place. On Wednesday the concrete jersey barriers will be reinstalled.
During this process, the pedestrian path will remain the same.
For the balance of the week, work will remain focused on drilling, excavating and hauling away soil off-site, as work continues toward the P5 level.
Work will continue to start at 7 am on weekdays this week.
The time work ends each day may vary but will remain within the standard City of Toronto construction hours.
