Construction Outlook September 30 – October 5

Building Maintenance Unit installation & Landscaping work continue at the Saint.

 The Site will operational on Monday, September 30 – National Day for Truth and Reconciliation

Saturday Work

    • Reminder: work crews will be on site Saturday, September 28, doing a variety of tasks to set up the following week’s work plan.
    • Crews will also be on site on Saturday, October 5.  

    This week’s construction outlook,
    September 30 – October 5:

        • Landscaping work continues along the Church Street frontage.
        • At the ‘Top of house’ (roof) work will continue through the coming week.
        • The Building Maintenance Unit is being installed. 
        • Derrick prep work will begin this week
        • Suite Studs are active on Level 40.
        • Tile is active on Level 26.
        • Kitchens are active on Level 24.
        • Countertops on Level 22.
        • Drywall and carpentry ongoing.
        • Rogers work to connect the site is underway and expeccted to continue into early October. 

      Deliveries the week of September 30 – October 4:

       

        • Concrete delivery: Possibly 1 this week to support the roof work. 
        • We expect up to 2 drywall deliveries for this week.
        • We expect 1 kitchen delivery.
        • We expect 1 window delivery.
        • We expect 1 carpentry delivery.
        • We expect 1 tile delivery.
        • We expect 1 countertop delivery.
        • There may also be 1 appliance delivery.

      There will be (3) Traffic Management staff and one (1) Paid Duty Police Officer will be on site to manage traffic flows this coming week.

      Looking Ahead

      • The crane is expected to be dismantled and removed in mid to late October.
      • Move-ins to the Saint are expected to begin at the end of the year. 
      • The Hoist (external construction elevators) is expected to remain in place through 2024 and into January, 2025. 
      • Landscaping work on Lombard will follow work that is now underway on Church Street. Note that the landscaping work  does not include the area around the Hoist (external construction elevators), as it continues to operate. 
      • Our Ocotber construction liaison meeting will be held on Thursday, October 24, 2024, at 4 pm via ZOOM.
