Updates & Saturday Work

  • There will be crews on site Saturday, December 21. 
    • HOLIDAY HOURS:
      • The site will be closed on December 25, 26 and January 1, 2025, and all Sundays. 
      • We expect early closings on December 24 and December 31. 
      • Otherwise the site will be open all day, weekdays and Saturdays, which are not statutory holidays. 

    • The bulk of the work on site will be focussed on the interior of the building. 
    • Unit inspections are underway. 
    • Initial move-ins are expected through December and January. 

    This week’s construction outlook December 21 – 27:

    • Minor Roof work ongoing:

      • Top of house (roof) curtain wall frames and related work through the week.
      • All the derricks have been removed.
      • Interior work ongoing:

        • Suite studs on Level 46,
        • Tile on Level 30,
        • Kitchens on Level 29,
        • Countertops on Level 27,
        • Drywall and carpentry ongoing throughout the building. 

      Deliveries the week of December 13 – 20:

      • Concrete deliveries 1 per week, small pours

      • 2 drywall

      • 1 kitchen

      • 1 window

      • 1 carpentry

      • 1 tile

      • 1 countertop

      • 1 appliance

        There will be (3) Traffic Management staff and one (1) Paid Duty Police Officer will be on site to manage traffic flows this coming week.

        Looking Ahead

        • The first set of move-ins to the Saint are set to continue through December and January.  
        • The Hoist (external construction elevators) is expected to remain in place through 2024 and into early January, 2025. 
        • Tree planting will occur in the new year when the weather is warm enough. 

        • RE streetlights that are to be installed at street level:
          • Toronto Hydro conducted a lighting study at the beginning of the project which was paid for by Minto. Toronto Hydro has their own schedule for replacing the previous lighting fixtures. Minto is unable to request specific type lighting design or fixtures.
